We have a decade long history sponsoring SPSTC since 2009 in its original version as the Twin Cities SharePoint Camp. SharePoint Saturday is a free event for the community of SharePoint users, admins, developers, managers, fans, novices, experts, and anyone who wants to learn more about SharePoint. In the Twin Cities, SharePoint Saturday is held twice a year, in the early Spring and late Fall at the Normandale Community College. SPSTC has consistently had one of the largest (if not the largest) registration and attendance of all SharePoint Saturday events throughout the United States with attendance figures consistently in the 500-600 range.
SharePoint Saturday events are funded by sponsors. High Monkey has been a booth sponsor for the past 10 years and for a few years we even did a special 'banana sponsorship' for the afternoon snack. For the past several years, we have made it our hallmark to provide Jelly Belly jelly beans to attendees. At the most recent SPSTC on November 16, we gave out approximately 10 pounds of jelly beans to a hungry and sugar-motivated crowd. Also at the November 16 SPSTC, High Monkey's President, Virgil Carroll, conducted a session titled, 'Pushing your search strategy forward with Microsoft Search'. Virgil has been a speaker at SPSTC and other SharePoint Saturday events across the United States since the beginning.
There has always been a devoted and hard-working team of volunteers who plan, coordinate, and deliver each SPSTC event. We extend our thanks for their work and our appreciation for making SPSTC a hugely successful community event. High Monkey will be there handing out jelly beans, connecting with old and new friends, and talking SharePoint for many years to come.
