High Monkey is excited to announce that we will be participating in the 2017 Art-A-Whirl® weekend festivities. For those of you who don't know, High Monkey moved our office to Northeast Minneapolis in July 2016. We love our new location, and we're excited to get further involved here by supporting the Twin Cities arts community!

Supporting the Arts, Women Engineers, and Tiny Homes alike

We recently became a business member of NEMAA (Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association) and we will be sponsoring two unique organizations at our site during Art-A-Whirl® weekend that you won’t want to miss – The Ponytail Posse and Tiny Green Cabins.

On Saturday May 20th, The Ponytail Posse will be in the Waterbury building parking lot to show off their robot, Stacy, and will also be fundraising for their Foundation. High Monkey will also be sponsoring Tiny Green Cabins, who will have a tiny house on display in the Waterbury parking lot all weekend! If you’re planning on attending Art-A-Whirl® weekend or take part in any of the festivities, make sure you add the Waterbury building to your to-do list. There will be live music on Friday night and all day Saturday, great food, and so many fantastic local artists with their artwork.

About The Ponytail Posse

The Ponytail Posse is an all-female High School robotics team from St. Paul, Minnesota who have been competing in the FIRST® Tech Challenge for 3 years and participated in the FIRST LEGO League for 5 years prior. The members of Ponytail Posse are dedicated to promoting innovation, creativity, teamwork, and engineering by competing with their robot named 'Stacy'. The Ponytail Posse will have a demonstration area set up at High Monkey on May 20. Come by and meet the members of the Ponytail Posse and see Stacy in action! In March 2017, The Ponytail Posse got 2nd place overall at North Super Regional and advanced to the World Championship in St.Louis. We wish them the best of luck and (we hope) success at the competition the first week in May. Learn more about The Ponytail Posse or help support the team at www.theponytailposse.com
